College Tours!
Our youth group takes students on inspiring college tours to help them envision their future and spark their dreams. These visits give our youth the chance to walk real campuses, meet current students and staff, ask questions, and see firsthand what college life is like. It’s more than a trip—it’s a powerful experience that opens minds, builds confidence, and encourages our young people to aim high.
Cooking Competition!
The Alter hosts an exciting cooking competition where young chefs go head-to-head in the kitchen! This fun and friendly event encourages youth to learn essential cooking skills, explore creativity with food, and gain confidence in preparing meals. With teamwork, tasty recipes, and a dash of competition, The Alter's Cook-Off turns learning into a delicious adventure—one dish at a time!
Weekend Trips!
As a reward for their hard work and dedication to community service, The Alter takes the youth on exciting weekend trips throughout the year. These getaways are a chance for our youth to relax, explore new places, and bond with peers—all while celebrating the positive impact they’ve made in the community. These trips are our way of saying thank you and encouraging continued leadership and service.
